Where our name comes from

Our name comes from Section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982, which recognizes and affirms the existing Aboriginal and treaty rights of Indigenous peoples.

First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada have unique rights guaranteed under it. That is what our work is built on.

Lee Sacrey

Founder and President

Lee is Indigenous, recognized as an Inuk person (Client Identification Number: N20222646).
Started Section 35 Consulting in 2023, after more than 30 years in financial and operational management across the Northwest Territories.
Former General Manager of the NWT Metis Dene Development Fund.
Traveled to 28 of the NWT's 33 communities, working on community finances and economic development.
Completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School.
Also a professional photographer.
